I am always in awe at what you can create through the lens of a camera. Over the years I have discovered that we are constantly looking through a lens and choosing to focus on what we want to see (whether it’s a sub conscious choice or not!).
Capturing photos allows you to see the beautiful detail in the frame whilst ignoring (or cutting out) the not so beautiful beyond that. Sometimes we can’t ignore or eliminate what it is we see but what I’ve come to work on is making the choice to see the good and ignore the bad. How we frame our ‘images’ (ie our lives) is up to us. We can continue to choose seeing the ugly side or we can take a step back and actually be in awe of what we really see. Without comparison we are free. Free to be ourselves. Free to be creative without judgement. Free to just be.
