Today I’m sharing a fun activity that kids (and adults) will enjoy. We’re going to make slime!! I’ve failed previously many times trying to make slime. But I think I’ve found a winner!
1 cup of white Elmer’s glue (we used 7.6 oz and a little bit from a 4 oz bottle)
Borax ½ tsp
hot water ¾ cup + ¾ cup
Measuring cup and spoon
1) Mix 1 cup of white glue with ¾ cup of hot water in the bowl. This will be the glue mixture.
2) In a separate cup, mix ½ tsp of Borax with ¾ cup of hot water. Mix until Borax dissolves. This is going to be the Borax mixture.
3) Add 1 tablespoon of the Borax mixture into the glue mixture. Keep adding 1 tablespoon of the Borax mixture until you get the consistency you want. And mix thoroughly. We must’ve added about 6 or 7 tablespoons until we were happy with the slime.
Here, we thought the slime was ready, but when we got it out, it was still sticky and not stiff enough.
So we put it back in the bowl, added another tablespoon of the Borax mixture and mixed it well. When the mixture pulled away from the bowl, it was ready. It was time to play!
