Bible Verses For Guiding Kids Through Life Situations

Being parents, we are often confronted with many life situations like tattling, anger, lying etc with our children. For me, deciphering what to say is often a challenge especially when I’m not prepared for it. Just the other day I was in the middle of many things when my kids had yet another squabble. In the heat of the moment, I couldn’t talk let alone think clearly. When my boys are in the middle of an argument or having trouble with an emotion, I like to talk to them using verses from the Bible. Using Bible verses makes it that much more justifiable with my kids. So it’s not just mommy’s words but it’s from the Word of God. So of course, I couldn’t remember the verse fully or the reference. Looking it all up takes time and I usually feel like I’m losing the window of opportunity to capture their attention and make a connection. So I decided to make a printable reference guide that I can easily access when different situations arise. This way, I can open up the Bible to the mentioned verse and disciple my children.

Below are 10 emotions/situations that I often see or come across with my own children. I’ve listed 2 verses for most of the subject areas.
